The Sweet Split-Level
Our sweet split-level project started out a little sour. We had to contend with an awkward layout, a nightmare contractor and a buyer that almost backed out at the last minute. But in the end we were able to make lemonade out of this lemon. We opened up the entry and main living spaces to give this split-level a more functional floor plan. It ended up being one of our favorite designs yet. Check it out!

The 90210 House
This house (which we affectionately call the 90210 house because of it’s awesome 90’s throwback features) has been in our rental portfolio for several years. Because home prices are booming in Austin and rental rates have not kept pace it only made sense to off-load this bad boy and use the equity for more flips. Located in the Riverplace neighborhood of West Austin near Lake Travis, this house received a cosmetic rehab when it was first purchased so the only thing we had to do this time around was stage to sell. We wanted to highlight some features and downplay others. Staging to the rescue!

The East Austin Bungalow
The East Side of Austin is booming. It seems like there’s a new condo going up daily and a trendy chicken place on every corner of this rapidly gentrifying area. Our charming craftsman is located in Boggy Creek an area just East of Downtown. Homes in the area are rapidly appreciating and developers have started to put two homes on a lot. In fact, the buyers of our home added a “b” unit to the backyard of this property. This was a fun one design-wise-check it out!

The Cat House
The Cat House project located in South Austin definitely needed a face lift to shed it’s 1970’s cat-lady vibe. New floors, windows, roof, a fireplace makeover and a complete kitchen remodel turned this house from CATastrophe to the cat’s meow.

The Squatty Potty Project
With easy access to I-35 and relatively close proximity to downtown, our squatty potty project represents a great value for our buyer. Especially since it’s located in one of the last remaining “affordable” (and we use that term relatively) neighborhoods in Austin. We renovated this entire home from top to bottom (including a new roof!) in a light farmhouse style with neutral finishes and a fun two-tone kitchen.

The Mystery House
We bought this South Austin property sight unseen. It was a bit of a gamble. This house had a host of layout issues including but not limited to-akward bedroom access, lack of a second full bathroom, a weird master bathroom and low ceilings in the kitchen. It also needed lots of cosmetic updates (including removing floral carpet from the kitchen). Watch our full before and after episode to see how we transformed this space.

The Lady Bird House
Meet Lady Bird. This 1970’s Ranch House needed a major face-lift to bring it back to its former glory. We had a little bit of everything with this one-foundation work, a new roof, all new kitchen and baths. Using our favorite grey/white color combo we were able to make this regal lady shine.

The Dance Hall
We took this 1960’s ranch-style house down to the studs for a complete renovation. We spent $81,000 to fix the foundation, add a new roof and privacy fence, a designer kitchen and bold master bath. We are hoping that all these upgrades take away from it’s location on a busy street and proximity to commercial buildings.

The SOCO Bungalow
Location, location, location! This tiny 900 square foot bungalow is located in the heart of South Austin just one block off super trendy South Congress Street. But there’s a major problem-the house itself! This 1960’s pad has definitely seen better days-although it’s hard to imagine when those days were because the layout is terrible! We worked our magic and transformed this bungalow into the light, bright, hip and trendy little home it was always meant to be with the addition of 200 extra square feet of living space, an open concept kitchen and a spacious new master suite.

The Snail House
The Snail House is located in East Riverside, one of the most affordable areas close to downtown. Listed at under $300,000 this entry level home was a nice, simple, straight-forward, easy, drama-free flip. Wait I guess if you don’t count the break-in, or the bug-infestation, or the cabinet snafu. I guess there’s always drama when the Flipsters are involved. Officially our most dramatic bread and butter flip yet.
